Monday May 15

The asparagus, now in its 4th year, has been producing at a trickle, as in one shoot at a time.  A few days ago I was able to pick a decent batch of asparagus.  I also harvested about half a pound of spinach, which shows no signs of bolting (yet).

To see what other people are getting from their gardens, head on over to Our Happy Acres.

Well, hooray for asparagus in any amount.

It's amazing your spinach isn't bolting yet! Our asparagus slows down in the cool weather and speeds up when it gets hot.

That's amazing that your spinach hasn't bolted yet. And it looks like your asparagus is on to a great start.

I'm waiting for our asparagus to mature. How many years..... I wonder.

We has some asparagus last week but sadly, no spinach yet this year - it is taking FOREVER to size up and I have to get the tomatoes planted in the same spot in a week - ugh!
